Springfield Stuff

Speaking of Lists…I have a Springfield Stuff list. Full of things to do in Springfield, MO. We’re going to be working pretty hard to get this list accomplished and share those experiences with you.

First some interesting facts about this town we live in:

It is the Birthplace of Route 66.
Nicknamed the Queen City of the Ozarks.
In 1865 the town square was the site of a Wild Bill Hickok “quick draw” dueling shootout.
City parks officials claim there are 92 parks. Which include a Botanical Center, three golf courses, and a zoo.
O’Riley Auto Parts started here.
Speaking of Headquarters, the Assemblies of God calls Springfield their home base.
Supposedly Cashew Chicken was invented here. (I don’t believe that, but I don’t tell people here that!)
